Storm water drainage capture and conveyance Alternatives:

  • NM 583 and Offsite

    • System would capture and convey roadway and offsite runoff​

      • Larger pipes and ponds​

        • Large parcel acquisition needed for storage​

  • No Build​​​

    • Existing structures would be cleaned and either repaired or replaced with similar pipe size and material​

Irrigation Alternatives:

​​​

  • Closed Conduit System

    • Where applicable the existing open channel acequias would be replaced with closed conduits (pipes) with a similar capacity.​

  • Open Channels​

    • This alternative would repair existing channels. Street and driveway crossings would remain as culverts, improved as needed to maintain flow. ​

  • No Build​

    • Existing facilities would remain as they are now. In several locations the acequias have been fill-in preventing system continuity.​
